In this video you will see how to play ASL Word Match. You must know some ASL to play this game. I recommend this game for ASL 2 students and above.

The purpose of the game is to test your knowledge of ASL by matching the word cards to the correct ASL handshape.

The goal of the game is to match as many as you can or all of the word cards to the correct ASL handshape. There is an option to time yourself too.

How to Play:

  1. Tap "Play Game 1" for an easier game or "Play Game 2" for a more challenging game.
  2. Tap the deck of cards in the bottom left corner once. A word card will flip over.
  3. Look at the word and decide in your mind or with your hands how to sign that word.
  4. Decide which handshape you used when you signed that word.
  5. Drag the word card with your finger over top of the handshape you chose. Make sure you drag the card to cover the handshape card.
  6. If you are correct the card will snap into place below the handshape.If you did not make the best choice the word card will go back and you have a second chance.
  7. If you did not make the correct choice again the card will disappear - going back into the deck. You can change this option by going to the Options button and give yourself 1 chance or up to 5 chances to match the word and handshape.
  8. The Option button also allows you to play only 5 cards or up to 75 cards per game.
  9. You can also set the timer to challenge yourself on how fast you match the words to the handshapes.
